A healthy lifestyle

To start off this blog, it's important to talk about how I overcame a sedentary lifestyle and became more active and healthy in my daily routines and how you can, too. It takes a lot of willpower and motivation to change your whole lifestyle. First, it takes a goal. You need to take a step back and look at what you need or want to change about your current routine or lifestyle. Personally, I felt lazy, dehydrated, unmotivated, and overall unhealthy from all the bad foods I've been eating. I had to write down everything I needed to change and set a realistic goal for myself. My first goal was that I wanted to drink 55 oz. of water a day. It's good to set a small goal first. In doing that, I bought myself a new water bottle and stopped buying sugary drinks. My next goal was to incorporate physical activity into my day. Again, I started out with a small goal of only doing physical activity for 25-30 minutes a day, 4x a week. Some things I would do during these 25-30 minutes are walking outside, yoga, jump rope, pushups, and sit-ups. I also would recommend keeping a journal of your progress; you can write down every day how much water you drank, what kind of exercise you did, how long you worked out, your moods, and even your weight. This will help you get a good understanding of whether these changes are helping you or not.
